Reynoldstown Motel Conversion

Atlanta, GA
Adaptive Reuse

This project consists of the conversion of a budget, extended stay motel into apartments which will provide much needed affordable housing in Atlanta’s BeltLine Overlay District.

The property owner has partnered with Atlanta Housing, Invest Atlanta, Partners for Home, Atlanta Affordable Housing Fund, and city officials to restore the historic Atlanta Motel as 54 units of affordable and supportive housing at the intersection of I-20 and Moreland Avenue near East Atlanta Village.

The exterior of the motel building will receive a facelift - fresh paint, windows, doors, amenity areas, and more with a goal of improving its visibility from both Moreland Avenue and I-20. Interiors will be completely renovated and outfitted with modern, multifamily finishes.

The project was favorably received by City Council and the Mayor, and is just one small piece of the city’s plan to provide more affordable housing in our community.

This project is currently under construction.
