Lewis Barbecue Atlanta

You smell that? Well, if you don’t, you need to…

This barbecue joint just moved into it’s new home off of the Beltline at Ansley Mall in Atlanta. The former retail spaces that were hard to find are being transformed into the home of world class pit-master John Lewis’ new Atlanta location.

The two ground level spaces make up nearly 7,000 SF of restaurant and bar space. The exterior breezeway will connect the Beltline to Ansley Mall, but if you’re smart, you’ll stop in to taste some incredible food and enjoy the perfect vibes.

But where are the smokers, you ask? Well, we didn’t have space on the ground level, so we elevated them to sit above the existing restaurant space. That’s right, these six 1,000 gallon offset smokers will be sitting on a platform smokehouse (don’t act like you’ve seen that before) that’s about 4,000 more square feet.

Expect Lewis Barbecue Atlanta to break ground this winter and the smoke will start rolling Spring 2025. In the meantime, do a little research on John and his team. For the Atlanta crowd, get excited, because real Texas BBQ is heading to a Beltline stop near you.
